SelfLoops HRV measures and displays your heart rate variability

The SelfLoops HRV application calculates and displays the heart rate variability. This application is used by pro athletes and olympians.Heart rate variability (HRV) is the physiological phenomenon of variation in the time interval between heartbeats. It is measured by the variation in the beat-to-beat (called R-R) intervals. There are several metrics used in the scientific literature, we calculate: SDNN, RMSSD, pNN50, AVNN.We also calculate the same metric used by BioForce HRV and ithlete, that is ln(RMSSD)x20, we have called it HRV in the app. To use the application you need an heart rate monitor that adheres either to the Bluetooth Low Energy or ANT+ standards. Basically we cover the main standards used in the industry. We have personally tested the application with the Viiiva, Garmin, Wahoo and Polar Bluetooth Low Energy heart rate monitors. If you record the session you will be able to export the data, saved in csv format, to Dropbox, Google Drive, by email etc. You can also upload the data on www.selfloops.com.Note: If you cannot connect your Bluetooth Smart heart rate monitor, make sure that is not paired already with another application or device. Also, do not pair the heart rate monitor in the Settings of your device. The Bluetooth standard does not allow to have the heart rate monitor connected at the same time to multiple apps or devices.By using the application you expressly agree that SelfLoops is not providing medical advice with this application. Please, consult or ask for the advice to your physician or other medical professionals for any health related questions. For an intro to HRV see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heart_rate_variabilitybug fixes

Only one I found, which has unlimited recording plus export. Works great with Polar H10.

I connected one Rhythm24 band with the app, and although one band connected and HR and HRV RR intervals data was displayed, other Rhythm24 bands that I connect to the same app was not displaying any HRV data, just the HR data. If you can help me understand why that's the case, perhaps I can rate the app higher because it's not a bad app after all.

Srijith Unni

Doesn't connect to Kardia EKG or Fitbit Versa. Both work on Bluetooth.

Not sure what is going on here my Polar a370 connects and displays HR but not RR or anything else shows up and the data is blank when I export it? Is this app a dud?

Steven Parente

Easy to use and great connectivity. Pls add some prognostic & diagnostic abilities.

This is just what I've been looking for. I used to use "camera hrv" but it only recorded and analysed one minute of hrv. Selfloop allows me Unlimited recording of my hr and hrv data. Perfect. Now I can develop my own metrics and graphs. Thanks selfloop!
